Top 10 Elements of Wellness

Wellness is being healthy, and working towards living a fulfilled and high-quality life. To achieve wellness, it is important to have balance in each of the ten interdependent elements of wellness:

I. Physical

I have always believed that exercise is the key not only to physical health but to peace of mind.

Exercise regularly. Have good hygiene. Have a nutritious and colorful diet.  

II. Mental

Good mental health helps us to more fully enjoy and appreciate the people and environment around us.

III. Social

Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher.

Have positive relationships with family, friends, peers, and be involved in the community. Network well and regularly.

IV. Environmental

When your environment is clean you feel happy, motivated, and healthy.

Be content with surroundings: your home, nature, and the world.

V. Financial

Those who don’t manage their money will always work for those who do.

Learn to manage money. Save appropriately for short and long-term goals.

VI. Occupational

Choose a job you love, and you will ever have to work a day in your life.

Have a career that brings satisfaction and growth. Develop proper skills to get the job done.

VII. Spiritual

The body heals with play, the mind heals with laughter, and the spirit heals with joy.

VIII. Behavioral

Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle.
